Y do quick lime or lime stone ( CaCO3), slacked lime or lime water [Ca(OH)2 ] - y do they all have " lime " in their common names.

lime here indicates the presence of calcium ( don't mistake as lemon! it's because calcium has sour taste!)

here * Lime * is used with reference to compounds containing calcium in its oxide / hydroxide/ carbornate form.
