IN FROGS METAMORPHOSIS IS BROUGHT BY THYROXINE HORMONE.THE PRODUCTION OF THYROXINE HORMONE REQUIRED THE PRESENCE  OF IODINE IN WATER.SO IF THE WATER IS DEFFICIENT IN IODINE,THE TADPOLES LIVING THERE CANNOT PRODUCE SUFFICIENT THYROXINE & CANNOT BECOME ADULT FROG.

Answer:

HELLO FRIENDS...

here is your answer...

The hormone 'thyroxine' produced by the thyroid glands of the frog, is essential to carry out this process of metamorphosis. Iodine is needed for the production of thyroxine and if there is a deficiency of iodine in water the thyroxine hormone will not be produced by thyroid glands of the tadpoles and they will fail to grow into the frogs.

HOPE IT HELPS....
