y =   {e}^{2x}  +  {e}^{5x}

Differentiating both sides w.r.t. x

 \frac{dy}{dx}  =  \frac{d}{dx} ( {e}^{2x} ) +    \frac{d}{dx} ( {e}^{5x} )

Using the chain rule

 \frac{dy}{dx}  =  \frac{d}{dx} (2x) \frac{d}{d( {2x}) } ( {e}^{2x} ) +  \frac{d}{dx} (5x) \frac{d}{d(5x)} ( {e}^{5x} )

.

 \frac{dy}{dx}  = 2 {e}^{2x}  + 5 {e}^{5x}  =  {e}^{2x} (2 + 5 {e}^{3x})
