small intestine is larger in herbivores because they obtain nutrition from plants which contain a complex sugar i.e. cellulose so to digest it they require longer intestine which hosts large amount of bacteria to convert it into simplier sugars whereas carnivores obtain nutrition f from other animals which contain carbohydrates and carbohydrates get easily converted into simplier sugars.
