who said that budding is a type of vegetative propagation? there are various types of asexual reproduction and vegetative propagation is one of them. first of all clear all your confusion friend. budding is also a type of asexual reproduction. budding is totally different from vegetative propagation.

there are two modes of reproduction. one is asexual and other is sexual reproduction.

in asexual reproduction , only single parent is emoji to reproduce. it doesn't need the involvement of sex cells or gametes. for ex. plants. diff types of asexual reproduction are fission, budding, vegetative propagation, spore formation etc.

while in sexual reproduction, two parents are required. there is the involvement of sex cells. when the sex cells that is sperm in males n ova in females fuses with each other zygote is formed and then further development takes place.
