Why is it that Indian soldiers are paid so less when on the other hand salaries of Indian cricketers are being doubled?

Do you want a rhetorical answer or a logical one. Okay I’ll oblige you with both.
Rhetoric
The Govt is corrupt and we should protest against this indignity to the Indian soldier. Our soldiers are dying on the borders yet bat/ball wielding sportsmen are earning more than them.
Logical
The BCCI is a private body and it generates huge amount of revenue. This revenue comes from sponsorship, TV rights, sale of tickets etc. The viewership(you and me) of the game is so huge that the profits are also huge. Hence it is logical that the money paid to cricketers is ever increasing. That money can be ‘donated’ to funds looking after ex servicemen or war widows but not to active duty soldiers as their salary. There are 15 members in the Indian Cricket Team. Paying them a huge amount is rather easy and less taxing than paying the same amount to a 1.3 million standing Army. What the soldiers are paid is not ‘less’ by any standard. Yes the hardships are numerous. Yes the isolation is almost killing. Yes the sacrifices are huge. But the soldiers are not starving. The salary and perks being offered are not meagre.
I hope my answer help to u and right
