  y  \: \infty \:  \sqrt{x}  \\ y = k \sqrt{x}  \:  \:  < <  k = constant >  >  \\  \: then \\ k =  \frac{y}{ \sqrt{x} }  \\  =  \frac{24}{ \sqrt{16} }   \\   = \frac{24}{ \sqrt{ {4}^{2} } }  \\  =  \ \frac{24}{4}   = 6
