 \huge \rm y -  \frac{y}{4}  =  \frac{7}{2}  +  \frac{y}{4}  \\  \\  \huge \rm \frac{4y - y}{4}  =  \frac{14 + y}{4}   \\  \\  \huge \rm 4y - y = 14 + y \\  \\  \huge \rm 2y = 14 \\  \\  \huge \rm y   =  7
