we get quotient = (y² + 2y + 4) and remainder = 0
we have to divide (y³ - 8) by (y - 2) by long division method.
y - 2) y³ - 8. (y² + 2y + 4
y³ - 2y²
............................
2y² - 8
2y² - 4y
...........................
4y - 8
4y - 8
..........................
0
hence when (y³ - 8) is divided by (y - 2) , quotient = (y² + 2y + 4) and remainder = 0.
