By the give condition, the sum of the two numbers a +b is 710

then, a+ b = 710 ------(1)

it is also given that when a is divided by b, the quotient will be 12 and the remainder be 8 . using division algorithm,

a= 12b + 8 -------+(2)

sub. a= 12b + 8 in .....(1) , we get

12b + 8 + b = 710

or, 13 b = 702

or, b = 54

Then a = 710 - 54

a= 656

therefore the two no. are 656 and 54.
