Given,

Circumference of Circle= 1200m

Which is the distance covered while running one time around the circle.

So, according to the question=>

Total distance covered by Yamini = Circumference of circle

=>1200 = 2×π ×r

=>600 = 22/7 × r

=>r =190.9 (approx)

Hence distance covered by Farah

=> 2 ×diameter

(as she runs across the centre of the field twice)

=>2 × 190.9 × 2

=>763.6m.

Now, total distance covered by Farah

= 763.6m

Total distance covered by Yamini=1200m

Hence,Yamini runs more distance by =>

(1200-763.6)m

=>436.4m.

Remember

Area of circle = π×r^2

Perimeter of circle = 2π×r

Answer:

Yamini runs more by 467.4 m

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that Yamini had covered 1200 m

So, to find the radius

2\pi r = 1200\:m

r = \frac{1200*7}{22*2}

r = 190.90

Now, to find the distance covered by Farah,

= 2*2r

= 2*2*190.90

= 763.6

From the above calculations we get that Yamini covered more distance as we were given 1200 m

and of farah we got 763.6 m

So subtracting distance of farah by yamini's

we get

=(1200-763.6)

= 436.4\: m

Therefore, Yamini ran more by 436.4 m
