Tripitaka (or Tipitika) is the collection of the teachings of the Buddha over 45 years. The Abhidhamma Pitaka (abhidhammapiṭaka) is the last of the three pitakas (Pali for "baskets"). It constitutes the Pali Canon and the scriptures of Theravāda Buddhism and Yangana belongs to this pitaka.

Yangana belongs to the Abhidhamma.

Pitaka was the collection of scriptures which were collected from the early century and Yangana was the scripture which was used in the Abhidhamma.

Burma is the place where much studies have been conducted about Abhidhamma.
