Yann Martel recalls that many pondicherry residents provided him with stories, but he was most intrigued by this tale because Mr.Adirubasamy said it would maka him believe in god. Did Pi's tale alter your beliefs about God?In what way?

Answer:

Through the Story " Life of Pi " we can see that a young boy who survived a shipwreck was drifting apart across the sea for 227 days. From the story we can see that the boy ' Pi ' was highly religious since the very beginning. Although he went through a lot of difficulties while he was at the sea he never gave up his faith towards God.

He always used to pray to god to put him out of his miserable fate. He always had belief that God would definitely show him a way. Even though when the boy was facing the worst difficulties, he didn't lose his faith towards God. He literally never gave up on his belief towards God.

Miraculously on the last day at sea, when he reached land he thanked God for helping him out with his problems. Here, we can see his devotion and gratitude towards God which would make anyone have belief in God. Also the thing it is quite a miracle for anyone to survive at the sea for 227 days without the help of the God. In this way Pi's story will convince anybody to have belief towards God and alter the thoughts of people who don't have belief in God.
