Solution:

The mass of Benzene (C₆H₆) = 22 g

The mass of Carbon Tetrachloride (CCl₄) = 122 g

∴ The mass of the solution of C₆H₆ & CCl₄ = 22 + 122 = 144 g

We have the formula to calculate the mass percentage as follows:

Therefore, based on the above formula we get:

Mass % of C₆H₆ is,

= \frac{22}{144}\times  100

= \bold{15.27\%}

and

Mass % of CCl₄ is,

= \frac{122}{144}\times  100

= \bold{84.72\%}

Thus,

The mass percentage of C₆H₆ is → 15.27%.

The mass percentage of CCl₄ is → 84.72%.
