let us assume that this is x axis
A________O__________B
A cordinate (-2,5)
B cordinate (2,-3)
O is on the x axis so it's coordination is (x,0)
now. given here that the point o is equidistant from A and B .
•°•AO = OB
AO² = OB²
So , By using distance formula .
√(x2 -x1 )²-(y2-y1)²
we can calculate ..
lemma see
AO² = {√(-2-x)² + (0- 5)² }²
AO² = 2² + x² + 4x + 5²
AO² = 4+ 25 + x² +4x
AO²= 29 + x² + 4x
now
OB² = {√(2-x)² + (-3-0)²}²
OB ² = 2² + x² - 4x + 9
OB² = 13 + x² - 4x
•°•AO² = OB²
29+x² +4x = 13 + x² - 4x
29-13 = 4x+4x
16 = 8x
x = 16/8 = 2
so the point (2,0) is on the x axis which is equaidistant from the point (-2,5) and (2,-3)
