diameter of hemisphere=3.6 r=3.6/2

diameter of cone =3.6 r=3.6/2

total height=4.2cm

height of cone=4.2-3.6/2=2.4cm

slant height l=√h2+r2

=√2.4 2+1.8 2

l=3cm

tsa=csa of hemisphere+csa of cone

=2pie*r2+pie*r*l

2*22/7*3.6/2*3.6/2+22/7*3.6/2*3

=37.33cm2

Dear Student,

◆ Answer -

TSA = 37.32 cm^2

● Explanation -

Radius of the hemisphere is -

r = 3.6 / 2

r = 1.8 cm

Radius of the cone is same as that of hemisphere. i.e. r = 1.8 cm.

Height of cone is 4.2 - 1.8 = 2.4 cm.

Total surface area is calculated as -

TSA = LSA of hemisphere + LSA of cone

TSA = 2πr^2 + πr√(h^2+r^2)

TSA = 2×3.142×1.8^2 + 3.142×1.8×√(2.4^2+1.8^2)

TSA = 20.36 + 16.96

TSA = 37.32 cm^2

Hence, total surface area is 37.32 cm^2.

Thanks dear. Hope this helps you...
