"Help, Help, this boy from Mars will kîll me."

Yesterday was Sunday. I was all alone in the house because my mother and father went to my aunt's house because she was ill. They would not come back till Monday morning. As I was all alone I suggested myself to bury myself into some clàssy rómantic books to pàss my time.

It struck 9'O clock when I pushed myself from the comforting sofa and went for dinner. Putting the foods in the oven I served myself the food and had my dinner. At 11'O clock I went to my bed. Wrapping the blanket I closed my eyes hopeful to get some sleep all alone.

No sooner did I close my eyes than I heard someone ring the door bell. Looking out of the window I saw a thick fog hang outside my room. In the dim moonlight, the fog looked like clouds, descending on the earth. How I wished I could go out and savour the beauty of the night, but here I was trying to catch some sleep, which eluded me. I felt restless twisting and turning in the bed. Sleep seemed to elude me. I paced the floor of my room, clutching the shawl to keep myself warm. I went down the stairs with stealthy steps. On opening the door I found a strange looking boy, who had sticking out of his head two antenna like objects, over a hairy body. His owl like yellow round eyes, resembled the characters I had just seen in the movie. I screamed in fright but he said something in an alien language, at the same time gestuculating with his hands, indicating that he meant no harm. I stared at him disbelief, unable to even scream. Sensing my fright, he gave me an object that looked like trànslator to put on my ears so that I could understand his language. Putting it on my ears, I learnt that he had come from the planet Mars. He wanted to take me to his friends and show me to his friènds. I politely refused because I cannot leave my parents and hence could not oblige. He extended his very thin wiry like hand in frièndship, wary of him, I chose to do namaste instead. He sounded friendly, but I was scared for I knew not what would offend him.

He talked about life in Mars, telling me that it was bigger than the Earth, and had its own solar system. People there do not eat food they survive on noble gases. Seeing that I was impressed, he continued to brag about the superiority of his race. However unable to take it any longer I requested him to sleep because I was very sleepy.

On hearing this he reacted with alarcity. Snatching the trànslator from my hand, he pointed his gun at me and in flash I was in flames. I screamed with all might, "Help, Help, this boy from Mars will kîll me." I suddenly felt a splash of cold water on my face. Opening my eyes I saw my mother peering down at me. "What's the matter dear" said she. I was greatly relieved to see that my mother and father are back at home early morning and realise that it was all a dream.
