Answer:

A+B = 15

Explanation :

Let x^2+ 2a - 6 = 0............. (eq 1) and

x^2 - 9x +b =0.............. (eq 2)

As x-2 is a factor of x^2+ 2a - 6 = 0 and x^2 - 9x +b =0.

Therefore,

Putting x-2 = 0,

We get

X= 2

By putting the value of x in (eq 1) , we get

2^2 +2a- 6 = 0

4 + 2a- 6 = 0

- 2 +2a = 0

2a = 2

A = 2/2

A=1

By putting the value of x in (eq 2) , we get

2^2 - 9(2) + b = 0

4 - 18 + b = 0

- 14 = - b

14 =b

Hence, by solving the above equations, we get

A = 1

B= 14

A+ B = 15
