Shimadzu Texture Analyser

Shimadzu Texture Analyser range EZ-Test has three models in it. All of them are compact table-top systems. They are EZ-SX, EZ-LX and EZ-LX HS. All the models are compatible with IQ/OQ requirements.

EZ-SX is a system with a maximum stroke of 500mm and a capacity of 500N. It has a Test Speed Range from 0.001 to 1000 mm/min (at all loads) and the maximum return speed is 1500 mm/min. This system is ideal and effective for testing Food (Texture Profile Analysis), Pharmaceutical Substances & Packaging materials. It can be fixed with a variety of jigs and fixtures. For the Food Industries many parameters including Hardness, Brittleness, Adhesiveness, Cohesiveness, Elasticity, Rubberness, Chewability etc. can be obtained from the user friendly software Trapezium X Texture.

For the pharma among other tests, the Gelatin samples are the most popular one. This is also known as Bloom Test. Apart from that, the system can also analyse Tablet hardness, Extrusion force etc.

EZ-LX is a Long Stroke model with a stroke of upto 920mm. This system's capacity, test speed range and return speed are the same as that of SX. The EZ-LX is a perfect choise for testing rubber, film and other materials with long elongation.

This EZ-LX HS is the same as that of LX but with a test speed range of 0.001 to 2000 mm/min and with a return speed of 3000 mm/min. This is ideal to improve the sample throughput and thus suitable for factories where the number of samples are typically more in number.

The key feature of the EZ system is in its capability to data sampling speed of 1msec, which brings great effect in plotting the Texture profile curve for the tested samples.
