Let me start by saying a quote from the Bhagavad Gita. "Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self." Yoga plays an essential role in our life. It makes our mind and soul calm and peaceful.

Yoga is known to be originated from India. It was performed in the past to learn discipline and concentration. Yoga has several benefits. If we do it everyday it gives peace to our mind and our body. Many poses or asanas also help in making our body strong. Yoga helps in improving concentration and once we are concentrated we can grasp the concepts taught to us in daily life and improve our intelligence. We also develop self-discipline, self-awareness and self-love if we do yoga daily. It helps us stay fit and healthy and helps reduce diseases. The International Yoga Day is celebrated every year on 21st June to spread awareness on the benefits of Yoga. Yoga is really helpful. It helps us reduce risk of heart diseases and help us maintain a healthy body. It increases our patience level and decrease our anger level. The person who practices yoga daily is known to be very peaceful and loving.

At last, I would like to say that Yoga has many benefits and everyone should spend at least 30 minutes daily to practice yoga and keep their selves healthy and strong without using any artificial methods or shortcuts.
