yogesh take a magnetic compassin a lab and tries to show how it works to his friends.But it does not work well in the laboratory.It just swing to forth.He then takes it out in a field and its started working.what do you think could be the possible reason for this?

this is due to the high temperature in the room. The magnet lose its magnetism in high temperature.
Its magnetism can be restored when kept in normal temperature.

THE LABORATORY MAY BE FILLED WITH MAGNETIC COMPOUNDS WHICH DEFLECTS THE EARTHS MAGNETIC FIELD CAUSING THE COMPASS NEEDLE TO SWING.
