Yogesh takes a magnetic compass in the lab and tries to show how it works to his friends. But, it does not

work well in the laboratory. It just swings to and forth. He then takes it out in the field and it started

working. What do you think could be the possible reasons for this?

The possible reason for this statement is that inside the iron bar are magnetic regions called domains when two opposite magnetic poles are close then they attract each other when like balls are used together there is a force of repulsion and the rule for magnet is that like poles repel and unlike poles attract. attraction and repulsion arises between electrically charged particles because of their motion. That's why it is done due to the magnet's repulsive property..
