So, in simple words , In flowering plants, zygote is formed inside the ovule. after Fertilization sepals, petals....and stamen... of the flower either and fall down. The pistill...remains attached... to the flower. Zygote forms the embryo amd havin embryo forms the seed.!

In plants.... fertilization is defined as the fusion of the male and the female.. g.amete to development... into a diploid zygote...

The later phase of Fertilization is known as post - Fertilization!
