↪here is ur answer↩

↪ layering is a method of vegetative propagation in which branch of the plant is pulled towards the ground and a part of it is covered with moist soil leaving the tip of the branch exposed above the ground.↩

↪ after sometime new roots develop from the part of branch buried in the soil the branch is then cut from the parent plant and grown into a new plant ↩

⭐↪for example Jasmine , strawberry↩⭐

Layering has evolved as a common means of vegetative propagation of numerous species in natural environments. Layering is also utilized by horticulturists to propagate desirable plants.
Natural layering typically occurs when a branch touches the ground, whereupon it produces adventitious roots. At a later stage the connection with the parent plant is severed and a new plant is produced as a result.
