You and your friend are driving cars, the speed of your car is 24 m/s and
the speed of your friend's car is 20 m/s. Your friend increased his speed to
24 m/s in 2 seconds. Seeing this, you increased your speed from 24 m/s to
25 m/s in 2 seconds. Who accelerated faster?

You car,

Initial velocity (u) = 24 m/s

Final velocity (v) = 25 m/s

Time taken = 2 seconds

Acceleration (a) = (v-u)/t

a = (25 - 24) / 2

a = 1/2

a = 0.5 m/s

Your friend's car,

u = 20 m/s

v = 24 m/s

t = 2 sec

a = (24 - 20)/2

a = 4/2

a = 2 m/s

As 0.5 m/s < 2 m/s,

Therefore, Your friend accelerated faster than you.
