We have mastered in organizing many events at school. But this was the first time ever that we are to organize and inter-school event, which includes a number of schools.
Primarily, we decided on having frequent meetings to plan the event. We understood that the event is huge, as huge as we have never handled such a thing before. We had a long list of opinions and suggestions from the team. During the first few meetings, we planned on what must be done exactly. The list included plans like — booking the auditorium, finalizing the date, invitation to the chief guest, invitation to other important members, advertising means to all the school, list of the schools included in the participation, budget issues and funds, and so on.
Once the list of the tasks to be done was finalized, we moved onto factors as to how each of the tasks could be implemented. The task implementation plan sheet included tasks like — giving calls to the respective contacts, visiting different schools and other respective authorities, selecting members in the team for various tasks, and so on.
After a few meetings, we were into a shape where we were ready to get to the action. We have written email and letters to various contacts and got in touch with them. Within a few weeks, we could gather the tentative information as to how many members might be attending the event and how many schools and teams might be participating in the event.
We felt very glad when one of the most successful choreographers Mr Danjing, accepted our invitation to be the main judge of the dancing events. Also, Mrs Kuhu Singh, a very famous singer accepted our invitation to be the judge of the singing section. We invited other judges who are known for their wonderful works of art.
Our database had the list of all the minute features of the planning including sound, track, participants list, the order of the event, and so on.
Finally, the day arrived and we worked on it for around 70 days now. The event was full of joy and the results of the competitions were on the spot. We felt that they were the best results ever. The event was a very huge success and people rated it as one of the most gorgeous and smashing celebrations to encourage the art and talent in students.
