Friend according to me the biggest hurdle in this would be to make up the mind of the school authority. Until they are aware of your perfection and your work they won't let you work on such a project.
And I strongly think that the parents won't encourage this, as such a work will waste your time and you won't be able to cope up with school studies.
There should be perfection and excellence in your work as it would be a mark of appreciation for the school to showcase their students talent. So it should be a best price of art by you.
For creating the teamspirit you need to involve students who are really inspired to work on this project. You need to judge the good artist from them too. You have to encourage them to give their best, as it will be memorable piece of art in the school forever.
