We can have games and skits that both the boys and girl children of the slums can participate to make the mela a success. Moreover, we can also arrange for lunch and snacks. Lastly, they can be sent home with a small souvenir to commemorate this special occasion.
2)
The children can be invited to rehearse for the skits to be enacted. We can also have workshops to train them to do some handicraft which they can display in the mela to show their talent and also earn some pocket money.
