You and your neighbor are mowing your lawns. If your neighbor pushes a lawnmower five time as far as you do but exerts only a half of the force, which one of you does more work and by how much? Remember to show all your work to explain your answer.

It is quite simple

Say, the work done by you is w

such that, the force exerted by you is F

and, the displacement is s

IN THIS CASE.

work done by you(w)=Fs

Now,

CONSIDER THE CASE OF YOUR NEIGHBOUR

let, the work done by him be W

GIVEN, force is half,i.e F/2

and displacement is 5 times

so, work done(W)= F/2*5s

hence, W= 2.5Fs

hence, the neighbour does more work. HE DOES 2.5 TIMES MORE WORK THAN YOU

HOPE IT HELPS
