I was just about to sit down with my cup of hot coffee when I heard the doorbell ring. To my surprise, when I opened the door , there was nobody outside. I looked around but couldn’t see anyone. I turned around to close the door when I accidentally stamped on something. Bending down, I took found an intricate cover with an invitation on the floor.
I went back to my chair and took the invitation out. Before I could read it, the bell rang again. When I opened it, I found my best friend standing outside. I immediately gave her a hug and told her to come inside. As we got talking, I mentioned about the invitation. She started laughing and told me that it was her sister’s wedding invite. To surprise me, she had dropped the invitation on the floor and moved aside. That is why I did not see her when I opened the door the first time.
