Islam placed a high value on education as the faith spread among diverse people, education become an important channel through which we create a universal and consive social order. By the middle of the 9th century knowledge was divided into 3 categories the Islamic science, philosophical and natural science(greek knowledge) and the literary arts. the Islamic science which emphasized the study of the QURAN and the HADITH and their interpretation by leading scholars and theologians, were valued the most highly, but Greek scholarship was considered equally important albeit less virtuous
