Answer:

A dictatorship is a form of government characterised by the absolute rule of one person or a very small group of people who hold all political power

Disadvantages of dictatorship are:-

1. Loss of Freedom of choice - Citizens no longer have the choice to choose who governs them. They cannot vote in elections as it is all decided for them.

2. The Government will have absolute power. The government may not think in the best interests of the people. They may be more interested in building large lavish palaces for themselves than feeding their people.

3. The people may be oppressed by the regime as the government would be intent on keeping their power away from the citizens.

4.While a dictatorship is a form of government in some nations, just as monarchy or representative democracy is the form of government in others, dictatorships are seen by non-dictatorships as dangerous and cruel because of the way they tend to treat their citizens.

Answer:

India is the largest democracy of the world and we take immense pride in it. The people of this country have the power to choose the incumbent government contrary to the countries which are run by dictators like Kim-Jong Un. North Korea is in a dire state as people can’t exercise their rights freely. As per history, dictators always suffered an unfortunate downfall when people revolted collectively.

Take for instance, Muammar Gaddafi in Libya who met with an unfortunate defeat and eventually death when his own people turned into his nemesis after years of suffering. It will be really gut-wrenching for me stay in a country that sabotages civil rights and has toxic governance.
