  • Prateek was diagnosed with a stage 3 brain tumor in April 2012. He underwent rigorous treatment for a year. Tragically, we lost him in July 2013 after a long and courageous battle with the affliction.

  • Prateek respected and often talked about his colleagues at IIT Kanpur who, despite facing significant personal economic and social hardships, successfully pursued their studies. In this context, we feel that it is fitting to dedicate the Prateek Mishra Memorial Scholarship/Award for students at IIT-K (EE), in fond memory of Prateek's life and accomplishments.

Subject : Lack of recognition of handicrafts artisans

Sir,

Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper I would like to draw attention towards the lack of recognition of handicrafts artisans by the government. The indian handicrafts are quite popular in abroad. These handicrafts have potential to contribute in growth and development of indian economy. But these handicrafts need promotional care and management at the initial stage which can provided by government like loans, banking and subsidies, websites, outlets to sell these handicrafts, etc

At last I appeal to government to provide these facilities to handicrafts which would increase economy of india after a good survival.

Yours Truly
