In a shocking incidence that took place in Karnal this Saturday, almost 13 people were left dead and 12 were rushed to the hospital as soon as they started drinking the fresh water underground.
It is said that the source of poison in the water was the nearby newly set nuclear power plant by the government. The government officials were negligent enough to check the hazardous method of waste disposal by the company and the villagers paid the cost by their lives.
The panchayat sat together after the incident happened and called upon the official government to pay compensations to those who lost their dear ones.
A senior doctor at karnal hospital said that “the chemicals used in these power plants are too dangerous and can result in the immediate death of humans” The underground well water has now been sealed for further use and the officials ensured that it would be treated sooner.
