Subject: Covid 19 pandemic in our district
Dear Sir:
The entire world is going through challenging and tough times. Coronavirus pandemic is spreading fast across the globe. Total number of infected patients is 7,217,207; as many as 409,095 people have been reported dead with this virus across the world; and 3,553,202 infected people have recovered. The disease is spreading to other countries. Situation in America, Brazil, Spain, Russia, and India is getting critical.
In India to 267,249 people have been reported infected with this virus. 7,478 people have died so far with this virus. Indian Government has taken many preventive measures. All schools, colleges, universities, cinemas, etc. had been closed till May 31, 2020. The economies of many countries in the world have been severely affected. Millions of people have lost jobs. Survival has become difficult.
It is very sad that in our district many people are taking it lightly. In spite of the lockdown they are coming out in groups without masks and gloves. They don’t maintain social distancing. Whenever people do this, they become exposed to the possibility of being infected with it. People must cooperate with corona warriors to contain the spread of this disease. There is no other way to deal with this pandemic than follow the WHO guidelines.
Through the medium of your newspaper I appeal to the people to stay indoors and help the Government tackle this situation.
