Sub: Unfair practices at fair price shops.

Sir:

I am writing to you to express my deep concern over the unfair practices going on so flagrantly at the Government owned fair price shops across Hisar. These shops were opened by the State Government to provide commodities of basic needs to poor people at very reasonable prices. The painful truth is these shops have become the epicenter of corrupt practices. The unscrupulous officials and authorities running these shops are selling the commodities at higher rates and reaping huge benefits through corrupt and unfair practices.

The prices of essential commodities such as pulses, vegetables, cereals, cooking oil, sugar, rice, and petrol, etc. have been rising unrelentingly. These fair price shops were the only hope of relief for the poor; but they too have failed to provide relief to the poor!

The Government authorities must act strictly against the corrupt officials running these fair price shops. The people should also raise their voice against the malpractices!

Through the columns of your esteemed daily I appeal to the concerned ministry to look into the matter and take steps to alleviate poor people’s troubles.

Thanking you,

Yours truly,

Sub: Non-availability of essential commodities in the fair price shops of our area reg.

Dear Sir/Mam

I am a resident of Jaipur rural area. I am writing this letter to you to make you aware of the present poor condition of fair price shops in our area.

When fair price shops were opened in our area, the price was really fare. But day by day the quality of the products is decreasing and the prices are increasing. Now we cannot even get a small good item at low price. The height of irresponsibility can be seen when we even can't get the day to day use commodities.

I request you to please print a report about this situation in your newspaper so that the responsible departments can understand the seriousness of this issue.

Thanking you

Ajay
