You are Amit/ Amita. You happened to take part in a medical camp organized by Health Club of your school in a remote village near Delhi. You are surprised to find that most of the people there have no awareness of basic health and hygiene. As a concerned citizen you decide to take up their cause and organize camps to make the villagers aware of the importance of hygiene. Write a letter to the editor of a newspaper, in about 100-120 words, expressing your concern and encouraging youngsters to take part in such campaigns.

Subject : Spreading awareness about basic health care
Sir/ Madam,
With due respect I beg to state that I want to bring the attention of the readers of this reputed newspaper to the problem of of lack of awareness about basic health care and hygiene among people living in remote rural areas.
In this world of modern technology and civilization, it's hard to believe that some people living near us don't even know about the basic hygiene. There was a campaign organised by Health Club of our school (XYZ High School), because of which we visited a remote village of Delhi. In that area people don't know that they should use soap to wash their hands. They use soil and other natural things. But these days no soil is free from pollution. They don't know to cover mouth while sneezing, which is one of the basic manners of civilised citizens. They don't have filter for their drinking water, rather they drink the river or pond water. People living there live in small huts, mostly made up of mud and straw. Their house is sometimes has piles of waste materials, which are not decomposed properly. These things affect their health. Many suffer from jaundice, dengue, malleria.
As a concerned citizens we should take part in campaigns which spread awareness about basic health care among the remote rural citizens. We should lend a hand to help them to live a better and healthy life.
Thanking you,
Amit/ Amita

Subject: Creating Awareness towards Health and Hygiene
Sir
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I wish to draw the attention of the youngsters towards the negligent attitude of people towards basic health and hygiene. The villagers are not paying any attention to sanitation and personal hygiene which is leading them towards ill health. This hurdle can be overcome by organizing Health Camps in these areas where we can make these villagers aware of the importance of a healthy lifestyle by means of discussions or health checkups by specialists.
A small dispensary can also be set up there for their regular routine check up. They must be taught that cleanliness is next to godliness. I invite youngsters through this letter of mine to volunteer their names so that we can put our plan into action. A little effort on our part will save these villagers from contracting serious diseases.
Thanking you.
Yours sincerely
Amita
