Problems never end in a society. We all are surrounded with lot's of problems. Some are small and are on personal level. We can solve these problems by discussing in a small group like family. But some Global-level problems which are extreme big issues, can't be solved just by discussing it between families and friends. Terrorism, Wars among countries, deadly diseases, pollution, extinction of several species, scarcity of resources etc. are a few examples. Everyone should be introduced to these problems. Many people are suffering from these  problems. 
Also achievements are an important part of ones life. Achievements can be in a sport or in exams, both are special. Achievements are not just special for a single person. It could be special for entire family or even the entire nation. Achieving your dreams is the greatest dream one can think of.
Everyone should be updated with achievements and issues around him/her.
