Through the columns of your reputed national daily I would like to sensitise the public regarding the paramount importance of eradicating child kabour in India. The children of today are the future of the country. The children who are supposed to receive education are taking up miserable jobs due to numerous arbitrary reasons. It is clearly evident that the future of our country is uncertain and is it risk. Adding to this, child labour seriously deprives the children of their childhood. It adversely affects their physical and metal health. It affects their moral and social life. Despite the government has taken steps to counter this problem, any significant change is not observed. Protection of these desperate children should be the aim of the government. Utmost importance should be given to provide these children with education and other mandatory facilities. The poor parents who seek financial support from their children should be compensated.
