Dear Diary,
People say life itself is a dream — a ‘Maya’. And people also say that sometimes dreams do
come true. God forbid it. I shudder to think about what happens if the dream that I had last
night comes true. It was really a bad dream. I was appearing in the Board-examination. It was
the first day of the examination. I had the question paper in my hand. But I was highly worried,
confused and irritated. It was rather a difficult paper. My memory simply failed. The right
answer would not come to my mind. When I left the examination hall, It was really dejected
and disillusioned. The same thing was repeated in other papers too. Then I dreamed that the
results were out. My name was not there in the list of successful candidates. I cried and tears
came into my eyes. It looked as if my academic career was over. Certainly, all my dreams and
hopes ended in smoke. I dreamed that my classmates, teachers and neighbours were trying to

People say that dream is a-- Maya but some people also say that sometimes dreams do come true. I hope the dream which I dreamt of last night never comes true... I saw that I was in in a dark room tied with ropes on a chair. I was shouting for help. but suddenly I heard some food steps that were coming near me. the door opened revealing a butcher with a knife in his hand which was covered in blood!! I was very scared and started crying... he had a small evil smile on his face and he was coming nearer and nearer to me. I requested him to leave me but he simply nodded his head showing a 'NO'. I was so scared that I started shouting. My mom and dad came from the other room and hugged me. they asked me the reason why I was shouting. I told them about the dream. they said that they were there to protect me. nothing will harm me. I let out a sigh in relief. life was now sweet and happy!!
