Subject: Complaint against congestion caused by cars on market roads

Dear Madam/Sir,

I am a resident of <any place name>. I want to bring your attention to a severe issue faced by people near the central market area of the city. Owing to the growing needs, the market has expanded rapidly a lot. However, the roads over there are not constructed considering the needs of the time. Moreover, the number of vehicles in the city has increased too.

As a result, the market area cant accommodate so many vehicles. People end up parking their cars on the service road or many a time even on the pavement. This leads to severe traffic jam as vehicles try to move out. Also, it is a problem for pedestrians as they don't have enough space to walk. This wastes a lot of time.

I think it would be better if the local government approves the construction of a car parking lot near the market area. This would direct the cars there and clear the roads of vehicles. I also suggest that people who park cars on the service road even after the construction of the parking lot should be severely fined to create a deterrent.

I hope that if you publish it in your newspaper, then the local authorities would become aware of it and take the required action.

Thank you.

Yours sincerely,
