You are at a beach looking towards the vast sea what you see far away is that really a horizon or an illusion what is the reason behind it ?

it is due to the depth of the sea. that is the dark blue water. it indicates that the blue part of the sea is very depth and pale green is not.

This phenomenon is caused due to optical illusion , which is created by our mind to measure how far our eye sight could reach. Like mirage in deserts.

This happens due to bending of light rays when they pass through several layers of light having different temperature.
