West Bengal, 20th May, 2020. The Super Cyclone Amphan hit the coast of West Bengal, Odisha, and Bangladesh on May 18th, 2020. The Indian Meteorological Department warned about the cyclonic formations. Since then our team of National Disaster Management got into working. Our team was divided into several small groups so that we reach out to large number of place. Our tema is prepared and well-trained for such disaster relief. Many areas near the coast in West Bengal were evacuated by out teams and people were taken to place of safety. We provided food, shelter and medicall facilities to the evacuated families, to minimize the casuality.
Our team was successful in evacuating approx 100-150 families to safety. Our efforts was also recognized by our state govenment and an award to appreciate our efforts were bestowed upon our management, whic we humbly accepted. We will continue to serve our people like this in future as well.
