came across an interesting poem by Pablo Neruda few days back titled "You Start Dying Slowly..." and it reminded me of the famous speech of Steve Jobs at Stanford Convocation in 2005. In the speech which was about 10 minutes long, Steve narrated his journey since childhood till 2005 which included the story around setting up of Apple, getting fired from Apple, traveling the world, starting NEXT & Pixar Animations, and finally about doctors breaking him

"You are dying slowly', by Pablo Neruda, an inspirational poem that will rip through the reader's soul and will make him think about the way he is living his life. The "central theme" of the poem is about the secrets for a happy life that are mentioned like a warning and if we don't do certain things then we are dying slowly.
It talks about the true essence of life, be it the sounds of life, travels, reads, passion, emotion, job, dream etc and how we should deal with them to have a long and happy life. The poet has implied poetic devices like alliteration, metaphor, hyperbole, antithesis. One of my favourite lines is, 'If you do not go after your dream' "
