I hope you are able to cope up with the stress of your office and home simultaneously. Do you know that you are a supermom? You are the best. You make us the happiest girls every day after coming home. I admire you for every single thing you do for us even after being exhausted. I love how you make coffee each day in the morning and tea at night and insist us just to focus on our work and not to get disturbed because of the household chores. You are the most important woman in my life mommy. We know you love your job and we just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. We are there to take care of you at every turn of life. My love for you goes beyond my words can express,
we are with you in every situation of life. Thanks for being a protector. Love you always and forever.
Happy Mother's Day!!
Love,
Dear Mommy,
Happy early Mother's Day! I'm sorry I can't be there, but with finals fast approaching, I find myself struggling to find the time to sleep, let alone make it home. But I'm thinking about you, and I love you.
I've been thinking a lot about our relationship lately, and there are a few things I wanted to thank you for. First, thank you for bringing me into this world. I've heard childbirth can be a bit uncomfortable, so thank you for taking one for the team, as it were.
That brings me to my next point. Thank you for always treating us like a team. It was just the two of us for quite some time, and I always knew I had you as a mom, friend, and teacher. You sacrificed so much to give me a better life, yet you still found the time to sit on the floor and play Barbies with me.
Thank you for not killing me when I was in middle school. I know that probably crossed your mind a time or two; I was no angel. We fought all the time and I was rude and angst-y, and I'm truly sorry for that. You handled those years with all the patience you could muster, and seeing as how I'm still alive and breathing, I feel like you did much better than perhaps I would have done in your situation.
Thank you for not letting me get highlights in the seventh grade when I thought blonde might look good in my red hair. It wouldn't have. I won't say you were always right, but I wish I had listened to you more
Thank you for always pushing me to do better, to be better. I resent it at times and accuse you of nagging, and while it is annoying (sorry, but at least I'm honest!) I know it comes from the right place.
I appreciate your guidance and the steps you've taken to make sure I don't make many of the same mistakes you did. However, please remember that I am still human and need to make mistakes of my own to learn and grow. Thank you for being there to rub my back while I cry after I've made said mistakes, and for only saying "I told you so" once in a while.
Thank you for always listening when I had trouble with my friends or with boys. I don't think I realized until much later just how good of a friend I had in you all along, but I'm glad I finally figured it out.
Mommy, you have loved me from day one. I know I have disappointed you, made you cry, made you laugh, and made you proud. Thank you for never making me feel unloved, no matter how angry you were with me, and for teaching me the true meaning of unconditional love.
Thank you for being the best mother I could have ever asked for, and the only one I'd ever want.
Happy early Mother's Day, drink a mimosa for me!
Love,
Your daughter
