Answer:

The electric current will effect the iron filling and will make it an electromagnet or an inductor and the effect is called electromagnitism effect or electromagnetic effect.

Explanation:

So I have a copper coil, a 6V battery and has a iron filling.

First of all I need to warped the copper coil around the iron filling.

Then I should connect the one terminal of the copper wire with the positive and negative pole of the 6V battery. This is the process of making an electromagnet or an inductor and the effect is called electromagnitism effect or electromagnetic effect.

The charge current will flow through the copper coil. This affects the iron filling to be a magnet or store the electromagnetic energy like an inductor does. The polarity of the electromagnet will be decided by the direction of the current (as the right hand rule), as shown in the figure below.

Answer: Magnetic effect of electric current

Explanation: Thus the magnetic effect of electric current is defined as the electromagnetic effect. Which means that if a magnetic compass is brought near a electrically charged conductor then the needle of this compass gets deflected because of the flow of electricity.
