The magnetic effect of electric current can be identified.

Explanation:

Wrap the copper wire on the iron filling. It will become an inductor. Now, connect the battery across this inductor. The current will pass through that conductor. As a result, magnetic field will produce. To identify the magnetic field bring compass near that inductor. The arrangement of compass will show the presence of magnetic field.

We can identify the Magnetic Effect of electric current with the help of the given apparatus.

- We have to connect the ends of the copper coil to the battery.

- This will convert the copper coil into an electromagnet.

- There will be a magnetic field around it.

- When this electromagnet is brought near the iron fillings, they will be attracted to the coil.

- Hence, the magnetic effect of electric current is identified.

(Note: If we use an iron nail as a core for the coil, then the strength of the magnetic field will be increased giving much better results)
