first boil the the given mixture, this make water removed from kerosene oil and now u get kerosene oil remains in the container or if u want water also then u have to do following steps:
1- take a container and fill it with given mixture
2- put some sand in it and covered it with polythene 
3-before packing it, placed a small container in center of big container
4- put a stone on the center of polythene right up to the smal container 
5-put it in sunlight
After some times u observe that the water was in small container and kerosene oil was remain in big conatiner

we can separate by using separating funnel

we took the mixture in the funnel than open the stopcock until we reach at the oil level than when we get oil in the bottom we will close the stopcock and the mixture get separated
