Hi there!

Take a magnet near the iron fillings. The iron fillings will get separated from the mixture of sand, iron fillings, naphthalene and sodium chloride.

Naphthalene is separated by sublimation.

Sodium Chloride and sand when mixed water, the sand settles down.

So the mixture is prepared.

Hope it helps u!

laxmita: can we do magnetic seperation after sublimation

HERE IS YOUR ANSWER....
MIX WATER WITH MIXTURE OF THESE SUBSTANCE.
FIRST ,WE USE FILTER PAPER TO REMOVE
SAND AND IRON FILLINGS ,BECAUSE THEY
ARE INSOLUBLE IN WATER.
SECOND,NAPHTHALENE BALLS IS EXAUSTES
IN AIR AS IT DIRECTLY CONVERTED SOLID TO
GAS.
THIRD,BY EVAPORATION WE CAN GET WATER DROPLET. OR WATER IS EXHAUSTS
IN AIR.
SO, WE CAN GET SODIUM CHLORIDE...........
