You are given test tube a solution of h2 so4 and some nacl salt and dry and moist litmus paper how can you prove that dry hcl gas does not produce hydronium ions

H2so4+Nacl gives rise to Na2so4 and Hcl(dry HCl gas is produced)

When a dry litmus paper is used, this produced HCl won't turn blue litmus to red.

But when moist litmus paper is used, the colour changes (blue to red).

In the presence of aqueous solution or water,an acid produces hydronium ions.

So, when moist litmus paper is used, HCl produces hydronium ions (so colour changes)

If the litmus paper is not moist, dry HCl gas won't give hydronium ions..

Hence,proved

Hope this helps you!
